Ingredients

For the Strawberry Daiquiri

  • 2 ounces white rum
  • 1 cup frozen strawberries
  • 1 ounce lime juice
  • 1/2 ounce simple syrup

For the Piña Colada

  • 2 ounces white rum
  • 2 ounces cream of coconut
  • 2 ounces pineapple juice
  • 1/2 cup crushed ice

Instructions

  • Make the Strawberry Daiquiri: In a blender, combine the rum, frozen strawberries, lime juice, and simple syrup. Blend until smooth and frothy.
  • Make the Piña Colada: In a separate blender, combine the rum, cream of coconut, pineapple juice, and crushed ice. Blend until smooth and frothy.
  • Assemble the Miami Vice: Pour the Strawberry Daiquiri into a tall glass. Slowly pour the Piña Colada over the back of a spoon so that it floats on top of the Strawberry Daiquiri.
  • Garnish and enjoy: Garnish with a pineapple wedge and a cherry, if desired.

Notes

Tips
For a more intense strawberry flavor, use fresh strawberries instead of frozen strawberries.
If you don't have simple syrup, you can make your own by combining equal parts sugar and water in a saucepan and heating over low heat until the sugar dissolves.
For a creamier Piña Colada, use full-fat cream of coconut.
You can also rim the glass with sugar before adding the cocktails.
The Miami Vice is a versatile cocktail that can be customized to your liking. Get creative and experiment with different flavors and ingredients.
Variations
