Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 ounces tequila
  • 1 1/2 ounces watermelon liqueur
  • 2-4 dashes hot sauce
  • Lime wedge for garnish
  • Tajín seasoning for garnish

Instructions

  • Rim the glasses. Rub the rim of each shot glass with a lime wedge.
  • Coat the rims with Tajín. Pour a small amount of Tajín seasoning onto a plate. Dip the rim of each shot glass into the Tajín, coating it evenly.
  • Make the shots. In a cocktail shaker filled with ice, combine the tequila, watermelon liqueur, and hot sauce. Shake well until chilled.
  • Strain and serve. Strain the mixture into the prepared shot glasses. Garnish with a lime wedge and serve immediately.

Notes

Variations
For a sweeter shot, add a splash of agave nectar or simple syrup.
For a spicier shot, add more hot sauce to taste.
For a fruitier shot, add a splash of fruit juice, such as watermelon or lime juice.
For a non-alcoholic shot, omit the tequila and watermelon liqueur and use sparkling water instead.
Tips
Be sure to use fresh lime juice for the best flavor.
If you don't have Tajín seasoning, you can make your own by combining equal parts chili powder, salt, and lime juice.
Shake the shots well to ensure that they are properly chilled and that the ingredients are evenly distributed.
Serve the shots immediately for the best flavor.
